Magazines

I love my magazines. At the moment I subscribe to Vanity Fair (USA), Good Housekeeping (USA), Bon Appetit (USA), Cook's Illustrated (USA), delicious (Australia - gift from my brother) and the latest, Weight Watchers (Australia - sent to my parent's address). Plus my sister-in-law sends me Super Food Ideas (Australia).

I've given MK a long list of magazines I want him to pick up when he's in the UK next week.

But I never buy magazines here...mainly because foreign language magazines are hard to find but also as they are quite expensive. But the other day in our local Coop I spotted Woman and Home, a UK magazine. Hmmmm, wouldn't mind that as a treat. No price on it so took it up to the counter. Took them ages to find the price...the girls and I were standing there waiting, waiting. I knew it wouldn't be cheap, maybe Sfr9 or Sfr10. Still we waited. Then they found the price - Sfr13.60. What's that, around $AUD14! So after all that I said no thankyou, too expensive, and left it.

And went home and added Woman and Home to MK's list.
