Day 2 update - things keep happening
MK spoke to the boss in Melbourne again (Simon) and they set up the interview for 7.30am tomorrow. Phone interview (not video) and there will be three of them on the panel, Simon and two shift supervisors. Hopefully a low-key affair with more emphasis on the practicalities.
Speaking of, I started thinking and MK and I started talking about dates and stuff. This is what we came up with over the course of the day
27th Oct - MK's last day of work
31st Oct - Last day in our apartment
2nd Nov (or thereabouts) - Geneva to Hong Kong
16th or 17th Nov - Hong Kong to Melbourne
I rang Mum and Dad on their cruise ship to find out their movements around the beginning of November. Not great for us, unfortunately. Late October they're going to Melbourne to oversee some gardening work. Dad is due back in HK around Nov 5th but if the gardening work isn't finished Mum will be staying down. That would be no fun. Anyway, we'd still go to HK if Mum and Dad aren't there and hang out till they arrive.
I also asked Dad if we could stay in their house when we get back to Australia. Not a problem, but he wanted to know how long for. Difficult to know, but I envisage that being a short term option, then renting somewhere while we look for a house to buy. Uggghhhhh.
Change is good, change is good, change is good...
