She is so good to us

I was telling Yasmine at garderie today how much of a pain it is to have to be back at school to pick Lily up at 11.25am (leaving home at 11.20am). After dropping Charlotte off at garderie at 9am, I go for my walk, have a shower and by then I barely have an hour to do anything (cleaning, shopping, baking, phone calls) before I have to be back at school. Well, Yasmine offered to collect Lily from school. Every day. Starting next Monday. And she said if she can't do it, Anya will. And if she can't do it, one of the other woman will. Yasmine said she wouldn't do it for just anyone, but she loves Lily and it's different. What a great woman. Again, she steps in to help us out. Lily was there when we were having the conversation and she was really happy with the idea of Yasmine picking her up. So, it'll be just like before when I pick both girls up at from garderie at noon. The only difference is, before we could drop them both at garderie by 8.30am (if we were that organised) but now I drop Lily off first by 8.45am then go to garderie so I'm not away from there till 9am. 9am till 12noon is good though...I am definitely not complaining.

Tonight I watched American Beauty, the first time I've seen it since early 2000. Then it changed my life in a way no other movie has or probably will. I've been reluctant to see it in case it didn't meet my expectations of what I remembered it being (a powerful, provocative film). Glad I saw it tonight, though...still a great film. But not likely to drive me to quit my job like it did last time.
