Baking class - Carrot Cake and Shortbread

Did a baking class with Rose and Monica this morning. I made a Carrot, Spice and Sour Cream Cake last night which they each took half home today. Plus made a frosting today for it. Today I made a Carrot Cake with Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting, then Demerara Shortbread (not made with demerara sugar but with raw sugar, it's just the outside coating), then Chocolate Shortbread.

The girls were at garderie till noon, so I went and picked them up while Rose and Monica were still here. They left around 12.30pm, and seemed happy with all their goodies (Monica had made a Carrot Cake and bought it with her as well for us to try).

And we've set another, tentative date for the last Thursday in August (first week back at school). No idea yet what we might make.

Pooped now...off to lie on the white couch and read my magazine!
