Shoe shopping
The weather turned really miserable today...windy, raining, cold. Yesterday we were in t-shirts and sandals. New wardrobe today.
We usually only buy the kids shoes twice a year - beginning of the warm weather and beginning of the cold weather. Unless it's sale time (which is only twice a year anyway) and we might pick up an extra pair. So today was the day to go in and buy the kids some shoes. We always go to Chausseures St-Francois in Lausanne and so it was today. Unfortunately we went without Michael as he was at work.
Had both girls measured - Charlotte is size 24 and Lily size 31. Big feet, not surprisingly. Charlotte was easy as I can just pick what I want...which was pair of dark green Kicker boots (side zip) on sale for Sf89 reduced from Sf129.90. Lily took longer as some shoes she didn't like, others didn't fit well or felt 'rocky' (??). Anyway she settled on a pair of pale pink lace-up* Timberland boots for Sf129. Big feet and big prices. Great.
*Lily is going to have to learn to tie laces very quickly so she can put her shoes on at the end of the school day.
