Interesting meeting

This morning I met with Marie F (at the restaurant in our local Migros) to discuss the catering for the AWC Xmas lunch of Dec 13th. She is going to do the savouries, hopefully with another woman who has expressed interest but is away at the moment. Anyway they are planning on 120 people, made up of 6 tables. I suggested a plate per person with small things on it, which is how Marie is going to do the savouries. On the dessert we agreed on Mini Mince Pies, Shortbread, Apricot and Coconut Balls, Mini Xmas Puddings (if I can get the ingredients), a piece of Fruit Cake (if I can't get the ingredients for the Puddings) and a store-bought chocolate Santa. Plus I might do Star Tree Cookies for table decorations.

Marie has recently mentioned the possibility of us working together in some sort of catering capacity. So we talked about it more today. She had her own catering business for 17 years in the States and is keen now to do something in the area. Maybe like going into people's homes and doing dinner parties, functions, parties, that sort of thing. I'm interested. I'm sure I could learn a lot from her, and it would give me a chance to see what it's like.

We agreed to see how the AWC event goes and to think more about it. I want to make money doing what I love, and this would give me the chance to discover more about what I love.
