More snow

The snow from Friday has hung around, but slowly started to melt. Then today we got a top-up...it snowed a lot of the day. Later in the afternoon we went downstairs with Elizabeth and her daughter Sophie (our neighbours) and made a snowman. Well Elizabeth made a snowman, Sophie played and the the girls and I stood around...snow isn't really my thing. My favourite part of being in the snow is coming inside and getting warm.

Michael worked 12 hour dayshifts yesterday and today. We survived. Seemed the girls were keen to spend time inside as they never got that urge to go outside. Might have been because of the weather, but I also think it's because they do things during the week (including 4 mornings) so appreciate some inside time. Suits me. I made pancakes for lunch today. Not totally nutritious but I did use half wholemeal flour.

And the baking orders keep coming. I notice I spend evenings doing my business 'paperwork' - updating and checking my orders spreadsheet and responding to emails. Plus I often bake in the evenings. Yesterday a friend of a friend rang and asked if I wanted to cater for their work Xmas party - 150 Saffron Buns and 150 Gingerbread Cookies. Apparently both Swedish recipes. I turned it down...having not made the buns (yeast), not even heard of them. I would have made the cookies but she said she could get them from Ikea. No problem to me, the party is the same week as the AWC event with 125 people that I'm baking for.
