On Tuesday...
another mum at Lily's school - who I know speaks English - spoke to me. I've been meaning to do it, just been too lazy. She has two little boys, the older one is in Lily's year but not her class. The younger one is 18mths. She's Scottish and seems quite nice. Been here a year. Now we chat when we see each other at school, which makes a pleasant change. Today I offered to have Lewis (the older boy) for lunch sometime, and she agreed. Offered the same for Lily. So I suggested a playdate - maybe next week? - so they can come here and the kids can get to know each other. Wow, it would be a real novelty dropping Lily off at school at 8.50am and not picking her up till 3.20pm.
I dropped David's cookies off on Tuesday then went for a bit of a wander. And found the white board I've been looking for, except it's silver. My latest weight loss idea is not to record all I eat in an exercise book, but on a white board stuck up on the fridge. I found keeping a food diary one of the really good things about Weight Watchers (as well as the groups, and the control over your own eating) so I often go back to writing down what I eat when I need a push. But it usually doesn't last long. This way my white/silver board is right there in front of me, in the kitchen, reminding me of everything I've put in my mouth. Three - four kilos is my first goal (the damage from the last couple months), eight would be brilliant.
