Sick Sunday
Stupid cold stole my weekend. Felt like crap most of today, too. And I even got a decent night's sleep last night...MK got up for the (inevitable) Charlotte wake up at 3am, then again at 3.30am (the routine goes - pick C up, give her Medised, sit on the green chair and for me it's watch tv and for MK it's sleep, go back to bed either after the tv show has finished or you wake and realise you are sleeping on a lounge chair...either way C is deeply asleep).
But we did manage to get out once today for an old favourite - pick up lunch at the boulangerie* and head to the little park. It was very windy and cold, but at least it was sunny. Took some chalk - Lily's idea - so the kids (and MK) could do some drawing. Played on the swings, ate lunch and came home. Too bloody cold to stay any longer.
And then I tried to stay on the white couch as long as I could and read the latest Vanity Fair. Easy enough when C was napping, marginally harder after she got up. But I preservered. It was Sunday and I felt sick.
*my fave is the chevre on noix bread (goat's cheese on walnut bread, it's divine)
