New classes
This week has been a week of starting new activities for Lily. On Monday she had her first ever swimming lesson. The pool is in a hotel in Chexbres, about a 20 minute drive from here. Coincidentally she started swimming at school on Monday (it will be every second week, I believe). I think swimming at school is more about water confidence. Anyway, Lily is joined up for 10 private swimming lessons and they will be every Friday afternoon at 3.30pm. Today was her second and the teacher said it's not easy as Lily asks Why? a lot. So they spend a lot of time talking. Welcome to my life. I also had to tell Sevane (the teacher) that Lily has spent hardly anytime in the water, that I can't swim and hardly take them to the pool in summer. I think that explained a lot for Sevane. Thankfully the lessons are in English. At least for my sake.
And yesterday Lily went for her first ballet lesson. Well, I think they call it Rythmique but I call it ballet. She did dance (or something called Expression Corporel sp?) at the beginning of this year till the end of the school year and enjoyed it. I chose this place as our neighbour Elizabeth sends Sophie there and she likes it. It's for children 4 years and older and I think they will have a big performance at the end of the year. And if it's anything like Sophie's performance two years ago, we will get a very professional looking dvd out of it. Pretty full-on.
